Panathinaikos gives up on Wawrzyniak
Hugollek, Redakcja
Due to further positive dope tests and earlier three-month disqualification of Jakub Wawrzyniak, Panathinaikos Athens decided not to cooperate with Polish footballer anymore. It means that after six-month loan the midfielder comes back to Legia! There was an official information at Greek club's website: "Taking into consideration previous cases, club's board decided not to cooperate with the player anymore".
Wawrzyniak has been recently disqualified for three months due to an illegal substance which was found in some samples taken from footballer's body after the game against Skoda Xanti. The Pole explained that the specific had been contained in a slimming drug which he had taken without asking his doctor.
Wednesday situation refers to another case. However, it wasn't revealed when the player was put to the dope tests and what kind of substance was found in his body.
Panathinaikos should have paid the next instalment for Wawrzyniak's transfer to the end of June (about 1 million euro). In the winter break when the Pole moved to Greece the club from Athens transferred into Legia's account about 0,5 million euro.
